the BOYZ of Supreme Soul
One of my favorite shows is MTV's America's Best Dance Crew(ABDC). My nephew BB told me about the show last season and am totally addicted. I grew up dancing and listening to hip-hop/R&B/soul and many of my friends used to battle back in the day ~ breakdancing~. ABDC showcases some of the best, raw dance talent from around the country. It's great to see these crews showing their passion for dance and sharing the message to do what you love.

Dance crews from across the country will krump, grind and showcase their fancy footwork for the opportunity of a lifetime. The competition is fierce and the stakes are high as the crews battle it out live onstage for dance supremacy. Each week they'll step up to the challenge and show off their skills, and each week one crew will be eliminated until America's Best Dance Crew is revealed.
All my VOTES this season are going to SUPREME SOUL , reppin' the Bay Area (my hometown). I usually don't vote for these shows, but I have to support my boy RJ plus his crew is SICK! Check out their season premiere performance.

It's been some time since I've posted on my blog...if anyone is still out there reading and wondering where I've been...well I've been TRAVELING quite a bit.
Recently, I visited the new offices of Stampington & Co., to visit Jenny with my good friend Lisa. While there I discovered the wonderful work of Danita, who has a painting called "NOMAD", depicting a girl pulling a house on wheels. The painting is so fitting with what is going on in my life now. I've been on the road for the past year, traveling with my studio and house in a few suitcases. In the past six months, I have had AMAZING travel journeys to Bali, Japan, Australia and throughout the US. I thought I'd share a few pictures for now until I have time to write more.

Well, after a very busy travel/teaching schedule since December...I've been jetsettin around the country to SF/Bay Area, Hawaii, Fresno, LA, Vancouver, Seattle, Las Vegas, Colorado and just returned again from Hawaii this morning. I will post pictures of my various January trips and teaching adventures soon. I'm excited to be home for a week for CHA. CHA is the world's largest craft and hobby tradeshow/convention. Each winter various craft product manufacturers launch their new products.
I am very excited to announce the launch of Aleene's Collage Pauge designs by Traci Bautista!! My new line of products from Duncan Enterprises includes a collage adhesive in various finishes, a line of collage papers and tools.
Come by Duncan Enterprises booth #4001 at the Anaheim Convention Center this weekend to check out my demos, book signing and the new products!

Just a quick note...I was featured in the Houston Chronicle Lifestyle section this weekend. I've been teaching all week at the International Quilt Festival. More details to come...I've gotta catch a plane (again!)
